Far-right activists are using messaging apps including Telegram and X to urge people to take to the streets in London on Saturday in a "patriotic show of force".
Tommy Robinson, formerly known as Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, has been banned from Twitter and Facebook for violating their policies on hate speech. However, he continues to use other platforms to spread his message.
In a video posted to Telegram on Thursday, Robinson said: "Tomorrow we descend on OUR capital in the biggest patriotic show of force this country has ever seen."
He urged his followers to "bring your flags, bring your banners, bring your voices, and let's show the world that we are not going to be silenced."
The Metropolitan Police said they are aware of the planned protest and are monitoring the situation.
A spokesperson for the force said: "We are aware of the planned protest and are monitoring the situation. We will have a proportionate policing response in place to ensure the safety of all those involved."
